You work closely with your Sales Manager and the sales / customer services representatives with a focus on customer service, customer sales, retention, and sales growth within the aggregate industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented team of individuals and serve as a key contributor to the continued success of the organization. 

 

You must always possess good judgment & discretion. Previous sales / marketing experience is a recommended, however willing to train the right individual. To be successful in this role you need to be flexible, highly dependable, extremely detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Must possess strong communication, computer skills, and writing skills. 

Responsibilities

Area Sales Representative Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sales/marketing of materials and services with emphasis on high level of customer service.
  • Management / growth of existing accounts.
  • Pro-actively seek out additional sales, material haulers / brokers.
  • Track inventory levels through communication with Superintendents/Foreman or intra-net tools to satisfy customer demand on sales.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information.
  • Resolve customer issues / complaints by investigating and recommending resolutions to management.
  • Coordinate with dispatch team regarding scheduling and delivery of materials by truck and rail.
  • Generate reports on sales activities as it relates to targeted jobs, win/loss log, current work and customers called upon.
  • Work with Accounts Receivables to collect on open, current and past due accounts.
  • Forecast customer needs based upon future market trends.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of products.
  • Product promotion to existing customers and prospective clients.
  • Conduct sales calls.
  • Accurately convey product pricing.

Qualifications

Area Sales Representative Desired Qualifications:

  • One to three years of sales or management experience is preferred.
  • Must be willing to drive over 50% of your day if required.
  • Professional self-motivated and comfortable working with little daily direction. 
  • Strong communication and people skills.


Area Sales Representative Skills:

  • Highly organized.
  • Proficient with Office Suite.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Risk Management skills.
