We are excited to bring on a new IT Application Manager. The Jurgensen Companies is family owned and located in Sharonville, OH.

Responsibilities

Owns gathering, analysis, validation, and management of solution requirements. The resource will coordinate across the Business Experts, Business Leads, and Analysts. Resource knowledge will focus on growth for Custom Applications, COTS (Commercial off the shelf), SaaS Solutions and Low Code Applications. In this role you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of specific IT solutions at Jurgensen Companies. This will include:

  • Defining the product road-map to evolve the capability of the applications and drive adoption.
  • Implementing CI/CD tools and standard methodologies to accelerate deployment of new capabilities whilst ensuring no failure in change execution.
  • Partner with internal and external software developers to deliver improvements - Solution development and quality assurance.
  • Partner with IT Operations to implement resiliency enhancements sought at improving operational excellence and growing user satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Ability to document the technical architecture that underlies a given application.
  • Ability to collect, articulate and influence requirements, models, and specifications accurately and in a way that it is understood both by IT and non-IT professionals.
  • Ability to apply fundamentals of Project Management to keep work on track against dimensions of Scope, Quality, Cost and Schedule.
  • Ability to communicate status, drive transparency on issues, and call out and/or remove barriers where help is needed
  • Ability and interest to rapidly on-board and apply modern / evolving solutions and methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile Development methodology.
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations
  • In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with MS SQL including hands on with tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or Azure Data Studio.
  • Manufacturing experience and/or Proficy Plant Applications Experience.
  • REST APIs and API testing tools.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Hands on experience in developing or leading web applications.
