Overview

A co-op is term used by universities. You would be a true member of the team and will be doing REAL WORK. This position is a crucial part of our operation being sucessful. As a coop working under a project manager, one has the opportunity to experience multiple projects with their own unique challenges. You could be on a 100+ million-dollar project down to a 20k project. This position will allow you to live the day-to-day work of project managers within the company.

Responsibilities

Project Manager Co-op Responsibilities:

  • Perform targeted takeoffs for project activities.
  • Track efficiency and productivity in the field.
  • Assist project managers in varied miscellaneous activities.
  • Obtain and deliver materials to job locations.
  • Assist field personnel directly.
  • Observe a wide variety of field operations, gaining direct knowledge of operational procedures.
  • Have the opportunity to attend project meetings, both in-company and with the owner.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for performance of work.
  • Review shop drawings.
  • Order and manage materials for the project.
  • Assist with planning new and upcoming work.
  • Work with key players within the organization.
  • Showcase their aptitudes and talents for a project management role.

Qualifications

Project Manager Co-op Desired Qualifications:

  • Curently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar degree.
  • Previous experience working in any construction industry.
